disease for people who don't sweat

I am a 32 year old woman 5'4" 118lbs. I have always been in good shape, but odly enough i do not sweat nor have i ever. I sometimes get clammy or sticky. The older i get the more i seem to be affected by this, I cant even do simple exercises w/o getting hot and feeling like i'm going to pass out, or die from a severe headache. Now to add to everything else my legs feel like they are going to explode from pressure just by doing simple things like walking around the block. I drink fluids all day and know i'm not dehydrated. I know there is a raredisease for people who dont sweat that can be fatal, that i saw on the discovery chanel that is a defect of the skin. if someone can help i would be greatful.

That is very interesting...Swampy's mom has the identical symptom -- not sweating, feeling clammy, overheating...and most of the women on her side of the family do as well (none of the men though).

Her way of dealing with it has been to turn on the air conditioning and to not go out when it is hot. However, she probably also doesn't have a severe case...

Have you found out more information on this?  I am not a doctor, so take my comments with a grain of salt.  It sounds like you have anhidrosis, which is the inability to sweat normally.  It's connected to your autonomic nervous system, so is best addressed by a primary care doctor or a neurologist.  Check out http://www.mayoclinic.com/health/anhidrosis/DS01050 for more information.
