Playing kick the can in the twilight until 10:30 in the evening. (I grew up in Montana, I know that people who live in the south do not know what twilight is)
Climbing trees and jumping from heights.
Standing in a windbreak with the wind whistling around but I am safe and warm.
Getting completely filthy and not caring at all!
Those were the days, right? Carefree without thoughts of doing laundry and what's for dinner. It was all about fun!
Having lots of kids in the neighborhood to play with; running outside and playing without reporting home until dinner. Nowadays, parents are more cautious, I'm not sure if they have reason or are just more freaked out.
