Insecure and depressed by naked girls in movies

This is random.  I am an 18 yr old female in a relationship with a 25 yr.  I can't help but get up depressed, upset, mad, jealous when there is female nudity in movies while watching with my boyfriend of 5 years. It's a personal issue, and I'm not sure where the feelings come from. The female body is beautiful, but I hate when he sees another woman naked. I know he can't touch it or anything... but once you see something its embedded in your mind. He can imagine it whenever he wants and I wouldn't even know it! It doesn't help that women are portrayed as sex objects consistently... I don't know. We just finished up a movie with several full frontal views of women and it just made me mad at him for not looking away. I mean, its not like you always see full frontals of men in movies. He wouldn't appreciate me looking at that!

Okay, you start a petition and I'll sign it.  ha ha (I don't think med help allows petitions on the site).  But unfortunately, it doesn't seem to be changing any time soon.  I thought maybe the "me now" movement would help and it may down the road.

I'm glad your boyfriend doesn't make rude comments or stare lewdly.  :>)  But it's awkward for sure.  How long have you two been dating?

You know, I've had my moments of insecurity where there is a beautiful naked woman in a movie and I'm like HELLOOOO!!  I'm right here.  I got over it for the most part as I got closer to someone or I was really secure in the relationship.  I've been married almost two decades now.  A naked body in a movie is old hat!  :>)  Women naked in movies is overdone, for sure.  And women have always been objectified in my opinion.  I guess because breasts and butts are sexual on women and less so on men.  We don't see a lot of full front view vagina/labia, etc. on women . . .   we actually probably see more penises on the big screen than that . . .  but for men, they aren't sexualized as women are when they have a bare chest or butt.  So . . .  we tend to feel like we see women non stop.  I personally don't want to see full frontal of men either.  And really don't need any nudity in a movie.  It's gratuitous a lot of the time, isn't it?  Just not sure what we can do about it.  How does your boyfriend act during it?  Does he stare, make rude comments or just sit there?  My husband just sits there which makes it easier.  He doesn't act like it's all that exciting.  That makes it easier.

Exactly.  I have been seeing full frontals of women pretty common on late.  I rather have no or less nudity personally, especially when it is graphic.  My BF just stares.  Thankfully he does not make rude comments.  I don't feel this way when watching by myself - it is only when he is there.  I am probably just going to keep it cool and not say anything.
