Today my answer might be different than usual. I just finished reading "The Boys in the Boat" about the American 8 man rowing team that won Olympic Gold in Berlin, 1936, pre-WWII Nazi Germany in full propoganda swing.
I'd like to see the Gold Medal race with the photo-finish. After those stupid cheating Nazis purposely placed the US and Great Britain boats in the lanes that weren't supposed to be competition lanes due to their unworkable headwind, and positioned the starting flag in an area that actually couldn't be seen by the US and GB teams, they won anyway.
Best. Book. Ever.
(interesting this kind of mirror's Life's one event to witness)
Interesting rockrose. I really don't know much about that. Sounds like a book I need to read.
This is a really hard question for me to answer.
There are many periods in history that I'm hugely attracted to but they aren't pleasant. Would I want to be there? Probably not although I'm fascinated by them.
