My child's dad is really stupid af!!! Tonigh. We were at his family house for an occasion all.the free liquor and beer we been there all day and night its now 5 sum in the mornin we Been gone like 1 hour anyway he been drinking but determines to drive I let him we half way down the street he begins to swerve remind u he took a beer nd a cup of liquor with him and drinking the beer while driving after I ask him not too so wen he swerve I snatch the beer and threw it out the window nd the liquor and ask.to.let me drive he pulled over im thinking to.let me drive but gets out and start walking back to his aunt house sayin *** me and left me on.the side of the road!! I can't believe he mad over a beer and that I care more bout me and my son life!! Starting to regret he my child's father!!!

Hi there and welcome to the Relationships forum.  Alcohol does things to people's ability to think straight.  What I'd do is wait for the next day when he's sober and just have a talk.  Tell him that it scares you when or if he drinks and drives because you love him and want him to be there for his baby and don't want to ever worry that he'd get into an accident or pulled over.  Just talk from the heart.  We get mad but our anger is often fueled by fear and I'm sure it frightens you and worries you to think of him drinking and driving.  Many men will respond positively to that kind of real concern.  so, talk to him about it.  good luck

I would have no issues calling the garda on anyone who's putting themselves or others in danger. I know I'd be thanked for it in the latter.

It was irresponsible to get in the car with him, you knew he had been drinking even if you didn't know how much. You should never let someone who has been drinking drive you or themselves for that matter.  I'm glad that the worst thing that happened was him walking away. Depending on where you live, if you had been pulled over the police you would have been in trouble for allowing someone who was drunk to drive your car.
