Below what percentage level is Sp02 level is SERIOUSLY dangerous?

I ask SERIOUSLY dangerous because I have had chronic health problems for years, but the last year or more it’s been getting worse, but even still I have been MUCH worse in the past and I’m still alive.

I just bought a recording oximeter. On the really bad nights my Sp02 goes down below 70% (intermittently). I say below 70% because the device may not be accurate below 70%, a couple readings do show 35% and 45 % though. Also my heart rate ‘says’ it goes down to 1bpm or 5bpm on those type of nights. Can these readings be accurate? Does my heart really almost stop???

Hi a SpO2 of 86-93 and pulse (ECG) of 188, what does this mean?

That heart rate is way too high, if it stays like that for too long you are at risk of a heart attack or stroke. It also might contribute to your oxygen level being that low as the heart takes about 0.33 seconds to 'fill' up again after a beat so at that speed your heart is not pumping as much blood as it should be able to so the oxygen in your body would be less plentiful

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hi,
How are you? Using a pulse oximeter device, saturation of peripheral oxygen (SpO2) is an estimation of the oxygen saturation level. For a regular healthy person, the normal blood oxygen saturation level (SpO2) is around 94% to 99%. For patients with mild respiratory diseases, the SpO2  is around 90% or above. However, if  SpO2 level falls below 90%,  supplementary oxygen should be used. This level as well as  the decreased  heart rate is unacceptable for a prolonged period of time and warrants immediate medical attention. If this persists, you can check with your doctor for proper evaluation. Also, double check the machine if it is working properly or not to rule out technical issues. Take care and do keep us posted.
