Breathlessness

In 2007 I had an operation for constrictive pericarditus I recovered well unfortunatly it returned on the back of om heart in Dec 2009 I had an operation to remove this ,since this operation I have not been able to lay down on my back ( having to sleep sat up ) I am breathless when walking ,bending down,ect,I was informed yesterday that my diaphram is paralyised can anything be done to rectify this

Thank you for your speedy reply,Can you tell me what steps to take to get a better quality of life ,prior to my operations I had a very active lifestile and at the moment I am very limited as to what I can do

Diaphragmatic paralysis is generally permanent and irreversible.  In your case it is undoubtedly due to your operation
