lung crakling noises

i have strong lung crackling noises only when i lay down on my left side or on my back.They dissapear when laying on my right side..any suggestions what it might be?

You should see your doctor.  This sounds like possible bronchitis or even pneumonia.  It would be best to have it checked out.

If you are having any breathing problems they worsen somewhat when you are lying down. As to why you are not bothered when you lie on your right side, I do not know.
