Has anyone else tried this?...

Hello everyone,
My heart goes out to all of you who suffer with the same problem as I do- a really bad smell coming from my nose. I have had this for as long as I can remember and I am now in my 30s so thats a long time. Ive had antibiotics, xrays and had given up on the medical profession altogether, I was basically told the problem was in my head. I have very little friends because of my problem, I was bullied at school because of it.
What I wanted to say was that I think I have found a cure for it!! It's early days yet but I've noticed a REAL improvement! I've been using a saline nasal irrigator for a bit but got a bit lazy and only used it every now and again because it only helped a little. I read on your forum that it could be a fungal problem so instead of oil of oregano I used tea tree oil which is also a natural anti-fungal and anti-septic. I add 2 to 3 drops in the saline solution before I rinse and I have done this twice a day for a week now. It's early days but I cannot smell the poopy smell any more and my breath now smells lovely for the first time in my life!!!
Its worth a try, let me know how you get on.

I have the same odor from the nose problem, i checked with an ENT & he put me on a bunch of antibiotics & it did not help, so a friends mom told me to sip hot water like 3-4 times a day a cup full each time & although its slow but its working the whole blocked sinus thing is clearing up gradually & she told me it could take anywhere from a week to a month, but hey i have nothing to lose, i'm off all medications, & hot water is good for health & i find it tops.
One word of caution though: You have got to stop all cold stuff during this time which means no Ice cream, no cold beer, or no smoothies, no ice crushes, no cold drinks or even frozen yoghurt, try to keep it at room temperature & you are on... hope this helps, its helping me!!!

Recently, I do nasal irrigation with 10% Glucose Solution. That makes things become significantly better. However, I still have a smoke like smell coming from my nose. My question is what did Glucose do with fungal or something like that.
PS: Before Glucose Solution, I tried saline. From my experience, Glucose is better.
I don't know if it can be cured in this way. But try it.

I am glad that something is working for you. I personally do saline irrigations to my sinuses as well. I want to use the Neti pot, I have heard wonderful things about it. You are right that fungal infections can make things smell bad...did they ever culture your sinuses by any chance? If it was fungal all along, then those antibiotics would not have helped you, probably even might have made the fungus bloom even more.
I have heard many good things about oil of oregano, I know of one person who nebulizes the stuff (people, don't do this without your doctor's blessing!) and swears by it.
Good luck, Sunny
