High platelet and eosinophil

With a routine blood test for a drug study I am in, my eosinophils are high (5.9) and my platelets are high (444). What could this be?

High eosinophils may indicate an allergic process such as asthma, eczema, or hay fever. Certain infections, such as parasitic, will increase the eosinophil count as well. There are other reasons why the eosinophil count may be elevated, but the most common reasons are allergy and infection.
A high platelet count might be from chronic inflammation. There is a whole list of other reasons for an elevated platelet count.
Do you have any symptoms? I would review your labs with your doc to gain a better insight as to why these may be elevated. He or she knows your history and would be able to explain your results accordingly.
I hope this helps...Sunny
