Post virus cough?

I have been coughing since September.  I caught a bad flu and after that I can't stop coughing.  I also went to Asia for the first time in October and with the recent typhoons there, could I have made it worse.  I used Biaxin (anti-biotics), started with Symbicort (puffer), then on Alvesco and now I am on Nasacort, Advair and Aerius.  Is this a post virus cough, asthma or something else...your thoughts?

Are any of these medications helping at all...even a little bit?  I agree with whisperwolf that you should see a pulmonologist to determine the origin of your coughing so it can be treated appropriately.  If you don't get the results you desire with a pulmonologist, maybe you should see an infectious diseases specialist.

I suggest you get a referral to a pulmonologist for a consultation.
