Second Pnemothorax happened ..too scared now

Hi All,

Its not more than 1 month , I have encountered with 2nd Spontaneous Pnemothorax.

For Primary spontaneous I ws gone through COPD and Tuberculosis test and both came negative. After primary spontaneous is cured by tube insertion.
I was asked to take CT scan.
Doc said CT scan is okay and you dont have any serious problem .
U have reinsurance change of only 30% .

But when i have checked for report on CT scan it was Written as

"There is evidance of pleural based fibrotic band seen in right apical lobe s/o old heald lesion.Underlying pleural thickening noted. No active infilrates noted"

and in last it was written as

Impression:-
Fibrotic band in right aoical lobe with pleural thicking.
Otherwise CT thorax revels no significant abnormality.

Could Any one explain me what above report says for CT scan of chest I have done.

2) For second spontaneous Pnemothorax I have undergone Chemical treatment of Pnemothorax in which.
A) Doc have taken my blood and inserted/sprayed around my right lung via tube.
b) Doc also sprayed some agent called Tetracycline around my lung and believe me It was damn scary and painful.

I want to ask few question like

1) What are the chances Pnemothorax will reoccur in my case(Am Nt a smoker and drinker)
2) CT scan report what it does says..am I having any serious problem.?
3) what is successful rate of Chemical treatment of Pnemothorax.

Am very concern .
I am getting married in coming Nov-dec. With this burden I cant enjoy my ever waited time.

Please help
thanks !!

Hello and hope you are doing well.

It could be that the fibrotic band is due to an old tuberculous lesion and this could have caused the spontaneous pneumothorax. Pneumothorax is collection of air in the pleural space. Since, you have undergone chemical treatment, wherein the pleural space is approximated, recurrent pneumothorax is unlikely to occur. Hope any evidence of active tuberculosis has been ruled out.

Hope this helped and do keep us posted.
