Tightness

Hello, I was wondering if anyone has had respiratory issues from the Hep B shot.  I had the shot 17 days ago and shortly after I felt dizzy with a headache and short of breath.  Oh I have had anixety and OCD for 9 yrs, it usually manifast differently.  Anyways, so I started to panic that I was having a server reaction.  Ever since that day my chest feel thight like I dont have enough air or like I cant take a deep enough breath.  I went to the Doc the day after the shot they did chest x-ray, blood work, and spirometer thing.  All came back ok :) So anyways I am still having this issue.  It was coming and going like if I am side tracked or busy its ok or when I first wake up before I am thinking about it its ok.  Even right now I feel ok my chest feel tight kinda like a cold but thats it.  Then theres moments its really bad but latley its been constence.  Anyways my Doc, the ER doc, and my teachers (nursing) all say its anixety does this sound logical to anyone or does it sould like I am dying.  Oh plus I have a lot of personal things going on right now could it be stress and hormones maybe. Thanks...

I would normally say to talk to your dr about this, but you already have and you say that you don't notice it when you aren't thinking about it.  I think this is your anxiety and OCD as they can cause these symptoms.  However, it can be a case of "Which came first? The chicken or the egg?" = Do you think about it and the symptoms set in? Or do the symptoms set in so then you think about it.?

Since you have had the appropriate testing done, I would definitely say that you are not having an allergic reaction to the shot.  I suggest that you try to relax and "ignore" the symptoms for a few days and see how you feel.

Feel better.
