bad odor coming from nose

My daughter is 3 years old and she has an odor that smells like something decaying coming from her nose. I have used sline and sucked her nose out and it smells horrible. So I got a flashlight and looked and she ha what looks like a thick booger there. But no matter how hard she blows and whether I try to suck it out it won't budge? What could be causing this? By the way calling doctor tomorrow, just want someones opinion>

The “booger” may be a nasal polyp or a foreign body, since kids place a variety of things in their ears and nose, with associated infection.  If the doctor is unable to remove this “object” or if it turns out to be an abscess, it may have to be surgically excised.

You don't think that she may have stuck a piece of meat up her nose, do you?  Or some type of bug?  Just suggestions, but definately get her to a doctor.  Perhaps an ENT.  Please let me know what happens. BTW, how long has she had this?
