Is this your first baby? Most of the time the reason you get short of breath is because in the last couple of months the baby is really growing. As this happens your organs are pushed up to allow room for the baby. It pushes on your lungs which can cause you short of breath. Also when you turn on your air or the fan dust particles fly through the air which may cause you to have allergic reactions. I'm no Dr but I have been pregnant 4 times. You might want to ask your Dr about this if it gets worse. Good luck to you!!

There are alternatives to Ventalin, specifically for the side-effects you mention.  For portable/disposable inhalers there is MaxAir, and for use in nebulizers there is Xopanex.  Please note that these are both very expensive drugs (not generic, as Ventolin has Albuterol.)  Also note that Xopanex comes in 3.5 ml single use vials, which is likely to be much greater than the albuterol/ventolin prescribed dose & therefore more time consuming to deliver through the nebulizer.  Of course, only your Dr. will know if these are right for you...
