chronic post nasal drip - help

I am a severe copd sufferer, for the past six months I am really suffering from a post nasal drip I think, it drips so much that it fills something up at the top of my stomach which then creates great pressure obstructing my breathing more, so I then have to force myself to be sick to get the sticky horrid stuff up, this is every day now, I am on beconasie spray but this does not seem to help at all any ideas anyone x thanks

I have had a similar problem with an excess amount of mucus constantly draining and causing me to clear my throat a lot.  My doctor suggested that it could be allergies or heartburn/acid reflux.  I was talking with a friend of mine who said he also was given medication for heartburn/acid reflux because of a seeming sinus problem - apparently the acid in your stomach can trigger the post-nasal drip...??  something like that.
Just a thought...
