Did you say in your post that COPD is
emphysema AND bronchitis??

Do you know if a bad case of the flu can
leave you with COPD??

I am 65, have never smoked (even though I do live
with a smoker.....but he hasn't smoked in the
house for 15 years).  I did have a severe case of
the flu last April (I think it was the swine flu) and
ever since then I have this lung issue.
When the dr. listened to my lungs recently, he
said I had a lung infection, gave me a course of
antibiotics....but it didn't clear up the wheezing.
Any thoughts?

COPD is bronchitis and emphysema but you can have one or the other or both.
COPD=Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary disease
Pulmonary=relating to or affecting the lungs
Respritory=pertaining to or serving for respiration. to breath.
