RLS or...?

I am experiencing what I think is mild RLS. The symptoms come during the evening and sometimes clear away on its own late at night

I have an urge to move and legs and stretch them. They also go numb and I would want to stretch them. I think RLS is brought on by many hours spent in front of the computer.

However, the symptoms seem to not be confined only to the legs: I seem to be experiencing it near the groin/pelvic area the same side as the leg I am suffering RLS from(RLS seemed to have 'moved' upwards)

My questions are
-Is this RLS?
-If so, Is this possible? (affecting the groin area)?
-Can RLS affect only one leg(side) of the body?

I am worried because I am afraid it will be something more serious
(RLS i can deal with but if it turns out to be something more serious I would want to receive medical attention as soon as possible)

Thank you for any comments

Hello...I would say Yes.   My RLS began years ago in my left foot.
Of course I didn't know what I had for 40 years.   Now it is thru my legs and in my groin area.   I go to the VA, they had given me Hydrocodone (10mg) and just switched me to Requip/Ropeinole.   Roperinole (1mg) unavailable at the VA until THIS month.   ***@****

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
HI,
How are you? What other symptoms are present? People typically describe restless legs syndrome symptoms as abnormal or unpleasant sensations in their calves, thighs or feet. Onset is often during inactivity, there is relief by movement, and nighttime leg twitching are present. If this persist or other symptoms arise, you may need to have this checked by your doctor for proper evaluation. Blood tests or muscle or nerve studies may be ordered to rule out other possible issues. Take care and do keep us posted.
