Could my herpes culture be gone?

I had protected sex and usually o get infections after using condoms. So two days later i ended up getting a yeast infection. I was still left with itchiness so i called my doctor and told her that it didnt go away and she sent me more meds and my friend gave me a yeast infection cream her doctor gave her.it went away and i shaved with an old razor and i had protected sex again with the same person.i believe it was the next morning i woke up and i was itchy again so i actually scratched and bumps appeared. I called my doctor and made an appointment for after school. By time i got to the doctor all the bumps were gone but two. She told me it was herpes and swabbed it. My blood work came back negative and the swab was positive. Also my friend who gave me the cream had hpv months ago, could i have gotten germs by using her cream. And the first time i was about to have sex he went to go in without a condom it was a quick touch and then i told him to put one on. Can it have been bacteria from the dirty razor? After i was done taking valtrex i shaved with a new razor and got the same itchy sensation but it went away. I had one bump i found that hurt only when i pushed on it and when i had another doctor swab it and the culture came back negative

If you didn’t have sex with anyone else prior to that I’m the last few weeks I’d assume so

I see a second culture was done and came back negative, cultures can often show false negatives because if you don’t get it swabbed in time not enough of the virus might be present. To be sure you could go for a blood test and check in 12-16 weeks

Thank you. Do you think it was the last person i had intercourse with who gave it to me? Since the outbreak was right after

Culture positive and blood test negative would be a recent infection. It takes a while for blood antibodies to show. If you were to test in a few weeks it would likely become positive on the blood test. I wouldn’t be concerned about HPV from a cream that someone with HPV used at some point
