Angiofibroma on circumcision scar?

About 4 months ago I noticed some white looking rice shaped bump things on my penis shaft on my circumcision scar. I freaked out began to inspect every corner of my penis.I started to notice more little white looking things on the scar. I immediately assumed it was genital warts and decided to use ACV which didn't do anything. I freaked out again and finally maned up and went to the doctor. The first doctor said it was definitely not genital warts, and that it looks like glands. He was very young so I decided to get a second opinion. The 2nd doctor said definitely not genital warts but she barely looked so I don't trust her. I then asked for Gardasil which made my arm kill for about a week. I then decided I wanted a 3rd opinion so I went to planned parenthood. 2 different nurse practitioners looked at it but couldn't figure out what it was but said it wasn't genital warts. I then went to a dermatologist. He said it was something called Angiofibroma. He seemed smart and trustworthy so I accepted what he said and left. He said was it was common on the circumcision scar and that up to 50% of people get them and that you just have to accept that it's a part of who you are, just like the color of your eyes. I then went home and researched it and couldn't find anything on the internet about Angiofibroma occurring on the penis shaft. I found a type of Angiofibroma called Pearly Penile Papules but they occur on the penis head.

The reason I'm still worried is because all I do is inspect my penis and I'm scared that I somehow altered what these bumps truly look like from all this inspection and from the Apple Cider Vinegar Treatment I did. and that they are really genital warts.

So is it possible to have Angiofibroma on the penis shaft? Should I just accept I have these white bump things on my penis and move on? Only one is visible without stretching out my skin. The others get lost in the bumps of the circumcision scar. I don't know how to explain it to future sexual partners if they happen to see it.

just a general moisturizer is fine for this - aquaphor, zinc oxide or any baby butt cream.

So I finally heard back from someone in the doctor's office. They said it came back negative when testing for several strands of HPV. They wanted to schedule a follow up appointment to see if I wanted to remove these white bump things. I probably won't since they aren't warts.

Some last questions though. How accurate is a biopsy? Should I trust these results and move on with my life? Do you think they looked at it under a microscope in addition to doing the staining and everything came back pointing that it wasn't cause by HPV?

Also, my biopsy left a red mark that is fading everyday. Does anyone know any over the counter products I can apply to it to make it return to normal skin color faster?

Thanks again.

Thanks!

Is staining the only way to test for HPV? Or do you think they did other tests already an found nothing and want to do this test to just make sure.

Special training. At least they are taking the time to look into this for you. That is hard to find now a days. I know you are concerned but try to relax. I hope everything works out for you!

So after calling the doctor a million times he finally called me back. He said the lab said it looks like a normal papilloma but not a wart and not contagious. He then said that he asked the lab to do some special staining that will check if there are any wart cells present. I'm supposed to call back in a week. It's been 3 weeks now since I had the biopsy.

Does this seem like normal procedure? How could it possibly take so long?

Is it usually a bad sign if the lab needs to do more testing?

not much else we can help you with to be honest. wait for the final results and follow up with your provider on them.

So I decided to have a biopsy on one of them by a new doctor. He also thought they weren't anything to worry about. I called the doctor today (8 days after biopsy) to see if the results are in. The doctor said they were but the lab is pursuing additional testing. The lab said it was some type of inflammation but couldn't rule out HPV yet. The results should be back by Monday.

Can anyone please help me figure out what this means. I'm so nervous and scared. Thanks.

no reason to think this was a wart.  you've been seen multiple times now and no one thinks it is. it actually sounds like completely normal skin like many circumsized males have.  unfortunately males don't get a reason to look at a lot of male penises to see what is actually normal like us gals tend to do ;)
