Are my STD tests accurate?

Hi

Nearly 4 months ago I had an unprotected encounter with someone who isn't my regular partner and I'm deeply ashamed and feel deeply guilty.

I had various tests over 11 weeks..

Full STI panel after 1 week- all negative

HIV prick test at 3 weeks- negative

HIV antibody and Chalmydia and Gonnorhea at 4 weeks- all negative

Syphilis at 5 weeks- negative

HIV duo at 6 weeks- negative

Chlmayida and Gonn urine test at 7 weeks- negative

HIV and Syphilis blood test from arm at 11 weeks- negative

I'm now 15 weeks in and it was only after the last test that I resumed sex with my regular partner....

Can I be 100% sure that I didn't catch anything??

Do you have any symtpoms? It’s possible you got a strain of hpv- just hopefully it’s one that will go away and not cause any problems. Not freaking out is the best way to avoid having any sort of symtpoms- your mind can actually cause physical symptoms- my anxiety was so bad after being raped I have symtpoms still which no doctor can explain. Even after bumps showed up months later I am convinced I’m diseased and have warts but my derm has said twice now they aren’t warts they are nothing so I don’t know anymore. Best of luck. If you don’t have symtpoms then that’s a good thing. It’s possible to get herpes and hpv without having any symtpoms but just be careful in future. You cannot change what’s done is done unfortunately and you can only move forward and learn from past experiences. Take care
