BV/yeast/hsv1 OB?

I started out the week thinking I had a UTI.  I went to a local clinic and received the needed meds.  My boyfriend and I had sex several times on Thursday into Friday and I was incredibly sore for several days.  I am positive for genital HSV1 and taking Valtrex for suppression.  I have only had three OBs in 7 years with the most recent in March of this year. I am noticing redness and what appears to be a tear at the bottom of my vulva. I am also having a white discharge with no smell - moderate discharge mainly only when I got to the bathroom.  There are no blisters like I commonly get with an OB. The area is irritating but not itchy like I generally get with an OB. Can this be BV or yeast and not an OB? Or can my OB symptoms be different since I am on suppressive therapy (just started with last OB)?

Now I'm really confused. Went to Dr today and he took a sample. He said he did not see any bacteria or yeast. He also said he did not see signs of Trich or Gonorrhea. He sent the sample off for DNA testing. I was tested in March for Gonorrhea so if that is it, I know who the culprit is.  He said the discharge could just be physiological and the acidity of it is causing the irritation. He gave me a corticosteroid for the irritation. Any thoughts on what it could be or if it is just physiological discharge what could cause that?

Thanks!

I really thi k it is BV. The irritation has increased and I am seeing a heavier discharge. Tried to call my doctor and they are closed until 7a tomorrow. I will be sure to call them at that time. I'm just not noticing any blisters like I usually get with OB and this has been going on since Saturday.

did they only do urine testing when you were seen or did you also get a proper exam?

if no exam was done, you'll need to go back and get properly tested for vaginitis. No self treating and guessing it's yeast either - women only accurately self diagnosis yeast 30% of the time and delaying treatment for what is really going on is never in your best interest :(

I would certainly continue to avoid sex at this point too. whatever infection is causing your symptoms, could trigger your hsv1 to shed too.

Hi, If your having some unnatural discharges that concern you its best to see an OBGYN and have a good check up. If this is something youve had before, it could be a natural yeast infection. If you suspect BV, again have your OBGYN take care of this.
