Can I attract syphilis through this way?

One of my friend has tertiary syphilis and now has penicillin transfusion in hospital.

Due to penicillin transfusion,he has small wounds/holes on hands. Yesterday he touched my hand, while my hands has small wounds as well...

I'm quite worried if I can get syphilis through this way? I'm even not sure if there're still blood on his wounds. Will a person attract syphilis if his wound/cut touches infectious blood?

Thank you very much!

I wouldn't be remotely worried about this :)

Thank you Grace, yes I understand syphilis can not be transferred by hand to hand contact. But my main concern is that we both have open cut on hand. And I'm sure his cut did contact mine.Like you said above the blood is still infectious, why it can not transfer to me? Sorry for asking so much,I'm so worried...

it can still be infectious but hand to hand contact from holding hands isn't going to be the proper contact to transmit it.

Thank you Grace.Do you mean that infectious blood can not transfer syphilis to a wound/cut?
BTW,my friend's doctor said tertiary syphilis is NOT infectious at all, which is different from early stage syphilis. Is that correct?  Many thanks.
