Can someone with oral chlamydia or gonorrhea infect another via genital sex

I performed oral sex on someone that has lots of unprotected sex with many partners. Suppose this person could have chlamydia or gonorrhea.

Suppose I caught oral chlamydia or gonorrhea from this person, then had unprotected genital sex (but no oral) with someone else. Can I infect this person with chlamydia or gonorrhea?

No, you'd only be infectious from your throat, giving someone oral.

If you think there is a chance you have oral gonorrhea or chlamydia, or any STD, you really should test.

Yes, test booked for later today. But what you told me makes me feel a lot better. I did not want to infect someone else if I do have it.
Good luck with the testing and let us know. :)
Test results came back, negative for gonorrhea, chlamydia, syphilis and HIV!
Congrats and thanks for letting us know. :)
