Chlamdia igm + & Proteus mirabilis culture positive out of 3culture

Hi,

Recently visited massage center(oct3), after one day felt fever and feverish felling for almost 2weeks.

This feverish feeling comes particularly on evening time only not sure what make it happen like.

After 7days, had done blood for STDs including Chlamydia igm, igg & iga on my own.

From the results, Chlamydia blood test igm is positive with 1.56cutoff, iga negative with 3.06 NTU, IGG neg with 14.51ru/ml(>= 16 is borderline).

So had booked consultation with infectious specialist but it had to postponed later evening so out of fear I took erythromycin 250mg for safer side to avoid complications and later evening doctor told Chlamydia cannot be diagnosed with blood and asked to do urine analysis & culture.

Next day I have done urine analysis, pcr for Chlamydia & gonnerria, urine culture.

From urine analysis - albumin trace, 1RBc found
Culture - negative, pcr nagative for Chlamydia & gonnerria

I was assumed albumin trace & RBC could be due to antibiotics taken one day before.

So I waited for 1more day, given urine analysis & culture test where results came RBC - , protein - & WBC 4.8 out of 5, epithelial 1.2 out of 2
Culture - positive for Proteus mirabilis. Culture took 3days to come that's last Saturday.

Once I see this culture had given urine analysis & culture from another lab. Results came with RBC - , WBC 3-4 out of 5, epithelial 2-3 out of 10.
Culture results negative.(results came last Monday.

I approached infectious specialist based on culture positive report & he advised to take bactrim-ds (for Proteus mirabilis) twice for two weeks.

I completed total 7days tablets now.

Symptoms history:

Day 2: low grade fever & feverish feeling in the evening
Day 14: slight left Scrotum pain, intermittent & feels slight pain on/off till today.

Please advise am I really infected with Chlamydia? & Taking wrong treatment based on culture report?

I got only bare hand Handjob and nothing else.

Very next day got fever.  Since last one week having intermittent pain left Scrotum.
You can't get an STD from a handjob. You had no risk at all for chlamydia. You can only get chlamydia from vaginal or anal penetration, and maybe oral sex.

Blood tests aren't the most accurate way to diagnose chlamydia. You also wouldn't get symptoms so quickly after sexual activity. It would be at least a few days.

It sounds like you have a urinary tract infection.
I never had UTI before. This is first am getting and moreover am not sure how does it happen this time.

1. Does it mean my immune system degrading ?due to some other ailments because I contracted CMV infection last year since then my health is not stable.

2. UTI is possible from bare handjob?

3. My symptoms were due to Wuhan virus? And UTI is secondary infection?
I heard from doctor, this Proteus mirabilis mostly common in women so I contracted from that massage lady?
No, you didn't. Nothing you did with that woman caused any bacteria from her body to get into your body. The only way you'd get anything related to an STD is by having oral or vaginal sex with her. This infection has nothing to do with your encounter with the massage.

Just because it's more common in women doesn't mean men don't get it. It doesn't have to be related to sex, either.

"Risk factors for UTIs include sexual activity in both men and women, unprotected anal intercourse in men, an uncircumcised penis, or immunodeficiency"

If you are not circumcised, you are more likely to get this.

It's not a huge deal. UTIs are pretty common. Take your antibiotics as directed, and you'll be fine.
