Chlamydia Transmission?

I was treated for chlamydia. 5 days after I took the single dose treatment, I was fingered and the guy licked his fingers after he got my vaginal fluids on it. Should I be worried about transmission?

Probably not, as oral chlamydia is rare, and fingering doesn't transmit STDs, so your partner probably won't get it. You should be avoiding all sexual activity for 7 full days, which I hope they told you.

If you've done anything else, you might want to get retested in a few weeks, and any partners you've had should be tested. You should also avoid having sex with any partners you had prior to testing who have not been tested and treated, or you could be reinfected.

If I waited 7 days to have sex, my partner shouldn’t need tested correct? Even after the finger situation
No. If this isn't someone you've had sex with before, you should both be fine. If it's someone you've had sex with before, he may have just reinfected you if he wasn't tested and treated.

But no, assuming he doesn't already have it, it should be fine after 7 days.

Condoms are really important, and I hope you consider using them.
Thank you for helping ease my mind!
You're welcome :)
