Chlamydia and/or gonorrhea discharges getting worse ?

Hello, I am gay and had intercourse with some guy that has been tested negative for all common STD 2 weeks before we sleep together. I was bottom (with condom) and we both suck each other (no condom).

2-3 weeks later, we both started having mild symptoms that seem to be chlamydia and/or gonorrhea. I think this could be more likely chlamydia because of the timelapse and the symptoms : mild sore urethra, transparent discharge that has a texture in-between urine and precum. Doesn't look like pus at all.

I have been tested and immediately given preventively 1g Azithromycin and 800mg Cefixime to threat the infection. However, the symptoms didn't go away after 4 days and the discharge are now getting a little bigger, especially in the morning. Since I couldn't get the test results before 2 weeks (public healthcare), I decided to go in the private 48h after starting the treatment. I tested HIV, syphyllis, hepatitis, chalmydia and gonorrhea (urine test only, no urethra, throat and anal swab though) and, strangely, they turned all negative. My questions are :

1 - Is it normal to still have symptoms with no improvement (and even more discharge) after 4 days of medication ?

2 - Is it common that the tests turn false-negative after 48h under medication ?

3- Could this be caused by another germ ? I read about trichomonase, but it seems very unlikely for gay people, since it's mosly a vagina-related disease.

Thanks a lot for your help.

Hi chlamydia is not known to be contracted in the throat only gono but if either of you had oral gono i dont think you would be giving oral sex as the throat pain would be to much. Symptoms of a urethra infection from gono would be a white puss discharge not clear and terrible burning while urinating so since neither of you have these symptoms i doubt you have gono inside your urethra.

Thanks for your input. I actually forgot to mention I had a boyfriend previously with which I wasn't using protection anymore. I know he slept with 2-3 guys before me and told me he was sure he was clean (mistake, i know), so he might be the cause too. Assuming he gave me chlamydia and it took me few weeks to develop it, I think my questions become valid again ? Thanks !
