Hi itching on the tip would not indicate an infection as the itching would be inside the urethra not the tip. Its very possible that your causing an irritation by constant pulling it open checking and milking it for a discharge.

Thanks i'm gonna get checked again tomorrow and i'll see an urologist later on thise week. What i understood is the possibility of a false positive is high but I had 2 negative so far.

Thanks Dave i'll let it rest, it's a bit of an annoying situation could the itching be because i didn't let it rest since I had the infection as i was constantly checking an opening the uretra.

You just had a retest? Am I reading that correctly? If that's true, you don't need to retest again.

You were on antibiotics for a long time. If you continue to itch after leaving it alone - and really, Dave gave you great advice to let things be - you might be getting a fungal infection, which is common with antibiotic use.

Just let it be for a few days. Don't check for symptoms, don't milk anything, don't open yourself up, etc. Literally, just leave it alone and see what happens.

Yea I had 2 test after 3 weeks and a day of starting treatment and 3 weeks and 5 days. I’m so afraid of that stuff.

Wait - you just finished the treatment a week ago?

You need to wait until 3 weeks have passed from your treatment to take a test of cure to know that you're cured. You could be getting a false negative from the antibiotics, or still be irritated from the infection.

Just chill out a bit, wait a few weeks, and then take a test.

And there's no need to keep starting new threads. Just keep everything here so we can keep it all straight.
Sorry for the other thread.

Hi yea i did a test of cure a week after treatment, so far it was negative. I had some symptoms coming around the 12 of January got tested on the 16 of January  and result on the 18. got 1 g of azythromincie  followed by 4 weeks doxycycline. I'm kind of living a nightmare at the moment because just before that i had some hemoroids than trombones because i didn't really took care of it so i had to deal with both issues. Everything else was negative on the first PCR and blood everything is negative. I'm a bit scared that thing came to my prostate. My doctor told me it's impossible that it resisted that much antibiotic.
Oh that's right - you had a ridiculous amount of antibiotics. I still don't understand that, unless you self-treated.

Don't worry about prostate right now. Don't worry about anything for now. Give your body a chance to reset, and to heal, and in a few weeks, you can get a test of cure. Testing while you're on antibiotics really is a waste of time and money.

You had chlamydia. It's super common and super easy to cure. I know it feels like a big deal, but just take a breather and relax.

Wasn’t self cured I saw a venerolgist he put me on both medication and I was feeling great and so scared so he decided to keep the treatment for 2 more week.

I have been pretty depressed by the situation. I hope I won’t end up with an uncurable chlamydia.

You are over-reacting, and your doctor is doing you no favors. In all my years of doing this - and it's been maybe 25 years now - I know of one person who had a hard time curing his chlamydia. You are just a few weeks out from it, and need to give yourself time.

In the US, a total of 1,758,668 chlamydial infections were reported to CDC in 50 states and the District of Columbia in 2018. https://www.cdc.gov/std/stats18/figures/1.htm

In the UK, there were 218,095 cases of chlamydia in 2018 (which I think is low, actually). https://www.bbc.com/news/health-48509969

In Canada, there were 126,700 chlamydia infections in 2017, which is the latest data I could find. https://www.cbc.ca/news/health/sti-rates-canada-1.5230987

If you live somewhere else, I can find that data for you.

I posted these to show you that you aren't alone, and that medically, chlamydia is most often not a big deal.

Do you talk to anyone about your anxiety? Therapy is a wonderful thing. (I say that with compassion, not criticism.) Don't let yourself buy into the stigma of STDs, either. Chlamydia is a simple bacterial infection, just like strep throat. The only difference is the mode of transmission. If you wouldn't freak about strep, don't freak about chlamydia.

Listen to what anuntiejessy is saying. Try antifungal cream for the itching, and test again, after a month off antibiotics. No need for feeling anxious or depressed, it is a parasite that you need to kill. And it alu ds like you detected it pretty fast so all the more reason to be relaxed. Abstain from sex until you get a confirmatory neg test, and next time use condoms they are cheap and are effective against a multitude of things including chlam.

I had the symptoms around the 12 and got it checked on the 16. My immunity system was apparently fine as i did bloodwork for an hemoroid operation on the 3rd and everything was fine back then finish the treatment on the 12. I just want to get rid of it as quickly as possible but i still have that humidity at the bottom ofmy urèta when i squeeze it can't make it comes out of it.

Is there any intravenous treatment option ?

Listen to me, and to klamidia. You are overreacting here. Seriously overreacting.

I don't know what you mean by humidity at the bottom of your urethra, but give your body a chance to heal. You've had a lot going on.

You don't need an IV treatment, and there isn't one for chlamydia anyway. You aren't even in the range for a test of cure yet.

Has anyone ever talked to you about anxiety? I'm concerned for you because you are not listening, and this has taken such a hold on you.

I'm not saying that you don't have symptoms of something - maybe it's a fungal infection from all the antibiotics, maybe it's an internal hemorrhoid - I don't know. But really, please find a therapist and talk to your doctor about anxiety.
And take a breath, really read these responses.
Humidity as i still have that drop but i need to squeeze it to get it out.
I wonder if that's an anxiety or hyperawareness thing. Take a few days, do some fun things, totally distract yourself, and see how you feel. If you do still have it - and that's a really big if - a few days isn't going to hurt anything. If you don't have it anymore, a few days of distraction could tell you a lot.
Hyperawarness and health anxiety.
I had an hemorrhoid operation which isn’t helping all those symptoms overlapping between both. And the doxycycline is making you anxious
Talk to your doctor about the doxy. There's no need for you to be on it for chlamydia - even if you were taking it for chlamydia and didn't have the azithromycin, it's only a 7 day course. Make sure that's the only reason he gave it to you, and ask about stopping it.

He may have given it to you in preparation for your surgery, so find out about that.
But definitely tell him how anxious it's making you. The side effect of anxiety is pretty well known if you search google for "doxycycline side effects anxiety". Your mental health is important, so talk to your doctor about it.

That's always a good plan. :)
But do test after couple of weeks!!!
I’ll test semen in a few weeks.
Don't test your semen. Just do a urine test or a urethral swab. That's the most accurate.
I’m actually scared it got into my prostate that’s why the semen.
My lab does urine swap and semen for one analysis.
You are over reacting here. The chances of it going to your semen when you've been on so many antibiotics is minuscule.

Do you get this frantic over strep throat or a cold?

Remember when I said that I only knew of one person who had a had a hard time getting rid of chlamydia? Well, that's klamidia, who is responding to you. He knows more about this than I do, and I know quite a bit. We're both telling you there's no need for panic.
Great info
