Do I Actually Have Chlamydia or Is Home Test Wrong?

On my last test I was completely clean and only had unprotected sex with my bf at the time. I didn't have any symptoms and wasn't worried as he said he was clean. Dating someone new a year later and I randomly have a bleed. I didn't think much of it because he's been out of the country for 3 months, and we only had protected sex. I end up doing a home kit test just to stop myself from overthinking (was a swab test not urine) and it comes back within the same week saying I was positive! Then went to the doctors the day after they texted me, had a pelvic exam and the doctor and nurse both thought I had BV. I had some slides done that day to confirm I had BV, and it was correct. However hearing my symptoms and looking, he said that he saw no abnormalities and wouldn't have said it was chlamydia. I got retested anyway, and waiting for results!

When you say home test, do you mean a place like STDCheck or LetsGetTested?

Those tests are pretty reliable, but no test is 100% accurate.

With your last boyfriend, did you test after that relationship ended? If you didn't, it's possible that you've had chlamydia since then.

The BV could cause bleeding, as could chlamydia. The only thing you can do now is wait, unfortunately, which stinks. Did your doctor do urine or swab testing? When do you get your tests back?

It was neither of those, just found this website through several links and clicked on it.
I never got tested after my last relationship which is why it's worrying because that was way over a year ago now.
My doctor did every test but a urine test. I get my results on the 3rd February, and it's already been a week. I know that it could be several things causing the bleeding. Even after taking the medication for both BV and chlamydia for the whole week as instructed I still have a random bleed.
Did your doctor do a pelvic exam? You could have pelvic inflammatory disease, and need more antibiotics.

When you are bleeding, is it from having sex, or is it just happening at random times doing nothing? You should let your doctor know.
It was a pelvic exam, he took and cervix swab, a normal swab, a slide for BV and a slide for thrush, and also did a blood test at my request.
What is the symptoms of that?
It's bleeding after I missed two days of the pill earlier in the month and then now after clitorial stimulation but not vaginal.
I've got to get the next pack of birth control so will mention it to my doctor tomorrow morning.
Oh if you are missing pills, that can cause breakthrough bleeding.
