Does this sound like Gonnorhea or Anxiety?

So, here is my situation and question. I’m a 36 year old male.

I’ve been in a monogamous relationship for nearly a year now, with a female. About a month ago, I was out of town for work, and met up with a guy on a mobile app. He asked if I was ddf, I told him I was. He said he was as well, though he did do “poppers”. Anyway, he came over, gave me a massage, and then we traded oral. He did not ejaculate, and I ejaculated, but not in his mouth (I finished myself off when I got close). The oral sex was unprotected.

He left and I immediately showered, and felt guilt that I had cheated on my girlfriend.  A couple nights later I was back in town, and had sex with my girlfriend.  I don’t recall exactly what we did (we are very active) but we usually have protected vaginal sex (outside of a couple instances), but oral sex is always unprotected, and I usually ejaculate in her mouth.

A week later,I received some particularly vigorous oral sex from the gf.  The next morning she said she couldn’t tell if she was getting a sore throat from a cold, or if she had been a little too vigorous the night before.  By Sunday, she had a fever, a full on sore throat, and a cough. (So 10 days after my encounter with the guy, and 8 days after my first sexual activity with her after I strayed).  So she had a bad cold for the next several days.

That week, on Tuesday, I ended up masturbating, and when I ejaculated, I had a bit of tingling in my urethra, all the way to under my perineum.  I didn’t think much of it, as that has occurred in occasion for me for years. I assumed it was from dehydration, or the orgasm was just intense or something.

The next morning, the skin on my penis, just a 1/2” of it or so, was swollen. Like I had a small ring around the shaft.  Like it was puffy. I’ve also had this occur for years, usually if I don’t use lube and masturbate for too long. Often, my penis will feel a little sore for a day, and it did. So, nothing really unusual.

For some reason, that night, somehow the concern about possibly contracting an STI from my encounter with the man got in my head, and then I wondered if that’s what got my gf sick with the sore throat and cough, etc.  So i started doing research and found out that I could get gonorrhea from oral sex...and have had anxiety ever since.  And my symptoms then became more noticeable. I have burning sensation in my urethra (but not when i pee...peeing actually feels like a relief at times), general burning/warm sensation on the skin of my penis, and around my perineum.  I feel like I have a more frequent urge to pee, and sometimes feel like I have trouble fully finishing urination.  I don’t have a discharge (unless the dribbling of urine after I pee counts...but it looks just like urine and is the only discharge of any kind).  All of these symptoms wax and wane...I went 3 days last week where it was like I forgot about it and had no symptoms. It usually waxes and wanes throughout the day.

I plan to go get a gon and chlamydia text next week, as it seems gonorrhea is the most likely candidate if its an STI. But...the lack of discharge and it taking 2 weeks to show symptoms makes me think its guilt and therefore anxiety related. My girlfriend has not mentioned any symptoms, either, though I have not told her about my out of town encounter.  If it IS gonorrhea, I will bite the bullet and tell her so we can both be treated.

So, while I’m obviously going to get tested next week, I’m just going crazy and trying to prep myself for what could come from testing.  How likely is it that this COULD be gonorrhea or an NGU? I’ve read that while there is still risk of gonorrhea from oral sex, its low risk...but not sure what that means.  If I test negative for gon/NGU...what else could it be?  Is it just anxiety, or are there other conditions it could be that are not sexually related? Even crazier (because I assume this isn’t possible)...but could my girlfriend’s throat infection spread to my penis/urethra?

Anyway...any insight appreciated.  I read a lot of threads on here that were similar, but not identical and so I had some uncertancies.  Thanks so much for any insight.

Hi you can pretty much rule out gono as i dont believe he would let you give him oral as when  man has it its very painful. white puss penis discharge and terrible burning while urinating and bottom line having oral gono is very rare.

That makes sense. But some guys don’t show symptoms, right?  Though, if he had gono in his penis/urethra, would that have spread to my throat?

So he would have had to have oral gono for it to infect my penis?
