Does this sound like an STD or a chafe rash?

Hi, I change often in the summertime due to wearing shorts and my thighs rubbing together. But weeks ago, I felt like I had gotten a blister. I tried to put lotions on it to let it heal, it does not look bad anymore, yet the skin where it was still feels loose like maybe there is fluid still. I am nervous about any STDs. Any advice would be helpful.

Hi first time outbreaks of herpes and syphilis appear at point of contact which most of is the genital area. What y our describing would not appear std related but as you suggest chafing. If your sexually active and are concerned have a doc to some testing.
