Doxycycline / Re-infection testing?

In September last year I received very brief oral sex from a girl who is not my girlfriend. This was a drunken mistake that lasted less than 1 minute before stopping her, I have never done this before and will never do it again. A couple of days after this I had sex with my girlfriend not aware that any infections could be passed by oral sex. A few weeks went by and paranoia got the best of me so I went on the internet and discovered that STD’s can be rarely be passed by oral sex, I then panicked and purchased Doxycycline in case I had been infected.

I have since been worried that I may have infected my girlfriend before taking the doxycycline. If I tell her what I did, she will leave me.

It’s now been six months since this happened and I have had sex with my girlfriend many times – had no symptoms of any STD.

I have been working to the theory that if I did infect her, she would infect me back over the last 6 months??? I have completed three tests for gonorrhoea and chlamydia on the basis of testing for reinfection from my girlfriend (Oct, Jan, March) all negative. I want to ensure my partner is safe and not victim to my misjudgement.

Chlamydia form oral is rare if at all possible. Gonorrhea is more likely but about 90% of men would show symptoms.

Like I said odds very much on your side that you did not get a STD, but her testing is the ONLY WAY TO KNOW 100%.

I cannot ask her to test, she will leave me. That is just an option for me hence why I'm seeking advice from you guys at medhelp.

Based on your experience, we have been having sex for six months since this happened. If she had anything, is it likely that I would have been reinfected in this time frame? I have had three negative tests in this time.

I have read that chlamydia is near impossible and gonorrhoea very rare but would come with symptoms?

It's not likely that you got a STD from oral sex, but if you did the only way to know is for her to test.
