Doxycycline not working for syphilis?

Hi,
1. I've got secondary syphilis rash and I've been prescribed Doxycycline twice a day 100mg for 14 days. After two days most of the rash healed but today is the 7th day I take Doxycycline (I take them very strict every 12 hours) and I have one white patch on the tongue and one a little few maybe spots on the neck. Is Doxycycline not working on me? Should I be worried? I can't take penicillin.
2. If someone touch by hand or hug me where the rash is, without sexual contact is it possible to infect them with syphilis as well?
3. When all the symptoms of syphilis should be healed when I take Doxycycline? I mean rash, or white patches on tongue. Isn't 7 days a time it should all already heal? Of course I'm not gonna stop taking antibiotics now. Just curious, if I should worry...
I'd be very thankful if the doctor could answer me. I need professional opinion.

1) 14 days for doxy is too short.
Also, depends on the resistant of the particular bacteria, it might or might not work
2) very unlikely, near impossible
3) the symptoms u r experiencing might or might not due to syphilis

The dose for doxy is 100 mg twice a day for 14 days for primary or secondary syphilis, according to the CDC - https://www.cdc.gov/std/tg2015/syphilis.htm (If someone isn't allergic to penicillin, penicillin is the preferred treatment.)

Just wondering if doxycycline worked for you. I am on doxy 100mg twice a day for 14 days. Still haven’t seen and marked improvement in my rash.

In your previous post, you were waiting on results. Have those been confirmed?
