Gonorrhea

Hi

I am in a relationship for around a year now. Almost overtime we had sex I had some smelly whitish or not coloured discharge for a few days. Sometimes we didn't have sex at all and healed by itself and sometimes it took a while till it goes away completely. Also in the beginning of our relationship I had some issues with my period. I was having trouble with having it and once I didn't get my period for almost 3 months. My doctor didn't do any tests and gave me a birth control pill. It still didn't work and she gave a more powerful one. Now I have my periods on time every month for 6 months.

Last week my boyfriend suddenly had a big pain and burn in his penis when we had sex after 3 weeks without having sex. Then he started getting discharge from his penis. Is it possible that I had gonorrhea all the time but he didn't have symptoms and healed by himself. He was working on his bachelor degree and he was completely out of shape because of that. Is there any chance that he had the symptoms for the first time ever this week because his immune system got weak or something. I am gonna have a test for fertility because our doctor told us that if I had it all the time, there is a high chance that I might got barren.

Thank you ver much.

Please stop self medication, because if not done right it could be (if you have gonnoroe) it will get antibiotic resistant and then it will be harder to get rid of it. It could be you don't have Gonno at all and it's in your head. Was the discharge the typical Gonnoroe discharge? This because most of the females have normally a little bit of discharge, that's pretty normal if the color or smell is typical it could be Gonnoroe but if it's normally white but slightly thicker or just more it also could be a yeast infection.(which can happen to anyone)

Also by taking antibiotics you destroy also good bacteria in your body, so yeast could get controll and you could get a yeast infection in your intestine, mouth and/or on your skin.

If the whitisch is only on your tong in the morning, it's not yeast infection. The whitish layer on your tong (normally most on the back of your tong) is pretty normal and sometimes worse if you have a cold, dry mouth, only soft food or smoke more etc. If it's really a yeast infection on your tong, it will stay the whole day and you can't easily brush it away. Also in many cases it would not only be on your tong.

Thank you!

We both had other partners before we met. The first few months we started our relationship we were having protected sex and then we decided to start having unprotected.

Right now I am abroad and I am waiting to go back home and talk to my own gynocologist. But don't worry we both saw a doctor, got tested and had treatment right away we noticed that there was something wrong.

Thank you but we already know about this. I am more asking, even if it's rare is it possible? I did some research and it seems like women can have it very long time without realising. There is even one case of a woman who had it for 4 years. In some cases men don't have symptoms and don't get treatment and heal by themselves. Right?

Yes you could have it for a longer period, but you mentioned you and your partner never had sex before your relationship. It's a STD so you can only get it by Sex. Only if one of you had unprocted sex before the relationship this could happen. But then again Gonno is in many cases self limiting within 6 month even with woman. But there are exeptions and if you or your boyfriend already had it you both could reinfect each other again again and again by having sex.

No its not and if you did it would have cleared up on its own by now. Before the advent of antibiotics the body would naturally cure it. Antibiotics only help to clear it up faster.

Please, I am desperately waiting for answers. Is it possible even if it's rare?

We both got tested and treated for gonorrhea 3 days ago. I only want to know if it's possible that I had it all the time?

Hi, since youve not had sex with anyone else you can rule out Gono. The whitesh discharge your describing is more a symptom of a yeast infection that comes and goes and it could be passed to your boyfriend through sex. I would advise that both of you see a doctor for some meds to clear it up.

sorry I forgot to give some details.

I am almost 27 and my boyfriend is 26 years old. We both never had any kind of STDs before. We are having a monogamous relationship. We both didn't have any sexual contact with any one else than each other.
