Groin still burning

Hello,

After having recieved unprotected oral sex from a working girl I began to feel a burning in my groin on both sides and hardening of the lymph nodes. I also began to notice sensations on my penis. I immideately got a prescription for doxycycline and begn the course.
However it is now the last day of my treatment and the symptoms remain I still havent been tested as I want a full check when the window period is over. Are there non specific infections that can be caught? Or must the symptoms be linked to one of the well known stds?
Can symptoms remain sfter treatment? And lastly are you still infectious while taking antibiotics?

Would really appreciate it if I could get some help on this

Thanks

you should avoid sex anyways until symptoms are gone. you don't want to risk transmitting something to a partner as well as the extra irritation can prolong some symptoms too.  make sense?

IF you indeed had either then the medication provided should cure it. In which you would not be infectious to others, but we always recommending retesting and sinc eyou were never tested to begin with you should test afterwards. I would highly advise wearing a condom for all encounters so you don't have to worry about this.

well because you didn't get tested  you may not know if you got Gono or NGU, symptoms can persist for up to two weeks after taking the medications. I would suggest following up with your doctor, you probably won't get accurate results since you've been treated, but if the symptoms persist after two weeks you should return and talk to your doctor about testing at that time for gono and NGU. You should always test first to stop any confusion in the future.

No I didnt get the test as the course of the drug lasts the same time as the wait for the results.
