HPV or normal skin irritation?

The other day whilst washing I felt a little growth like thing near my vaginal opening. It's on the end of one of the little creases, one of the little stringy bits of flesh, so at first I wasn't sure whether it was part of it or not. It feels like it is, and is very much attached and part of the skin, but just stands out a bit more.

I looked in the mirror when I got out of the shower and you can just about see it, when I stretch the skin down there you can see that it's clearly on the end of this stringy crease. The stringy but is just diagonally down from the vaginal opening on the left, and there appears to be the same on the right, except without the pronounced bit on the end. I looked on the internet and it seems like this is where the bartholin's glands are, so I wondered if this was related.

There are no other symptoms,  just found it by accident a couple of days ago. It hasn't changed or anything. I've been with my boyfriend for 9 months and we have mostly protected sex, before that I was with someone a year and whilst we had unprotected sex, there was never any sign of anything up and I had a clear STD screen.

Over the past several days my hygiene has been lax as I've been staying at friends houses... it's been hot, I haven't really changed my clothes and I've been wearing and sleeping in tight fitting jean leggings. I also noticed that my underwear had been rubbing in this area. This also seemed to come up the day after I had sex with my boyfriend (we hadn't seen each other in a while). So I'm thinking maybe it's irritation of part of the skin?

I'm going to go to the Doctor anyway but any reassurance would help. It looks almost like a skin tag, so I've been obsessing it might be HPV, but weird that it would come up now, there's only the one, and it's just like the end of this skin crease thing anyway, not so much a whole separate growth. Any reassurance would be great.

Sorry for the long post, but I'm paranoid! Cheers.

Cheers, it's just I am usually a bit of a hypochondriac so I can never tell whether something's up or it's just me. I went and got an STD screen a couple of months ago and was all clear but they don't tend to test for HPV in the UK.

I had a closer look and it does just look like the end bit a skin ridge which might've just got irritated but I guess you can never be sure unless you go see a Doctor!

Honestly it sounds like its normal, we wouldn't be able to tell you wether it was or not so seein gthe doctor is the best thing you can do. If everything were perfectly shaped or fitted then you wouldn't have any concern of STDs. While your at the doctor you might as well get a full STD panel just to learn your status.
