I got Freaked out with HPV

Hi, I'm a 31 years old male. A year ago (June 2020), I had a potential exposure and 2 weeks later, I had a bump on my genital area. A I showed it to a dermatologist and she said it's a wart and removed it.

5 months later (October 2020), I had another three bumps and this time I went to another doctor and she said they are Molluscum and then removed them. I didn't have anything else until past week and I noticed another bump. I will another appointment next week. I'm an International student in US and live with a lot of stress :(

My last exposure was last year (June 2020). I have some questions:

(1) Is it possible to have a genital wart outbreak after a year? I thought that my body has cleared the virus :(

(2) If my future partner gets HPV vaccine, can we have unprotected sex next year? (I don't have partner now)

I was wondering if anyone can help me on this.

See if they'll biopsy it this time. If it's a wart, it's important to know the strain of it to know if the vaccine covers it. It's also important to know if it's not a wart and it's molluscum.

If it's HPV, 90% will clear the virus within 2 years.

Thanks for your response. If they diagnose it as molluscum, do I need to ask them to biopsy it?
Did the first bump look like the 3 bumps you got later? Are they thinking you had both HPV and molluscum?

It's up to you what to do. If the doc is really confident it's molluscum, and you feel good about that, then don't get it biopsided. If there is confusion, get it biopsied.

Actually I don’t remember the first one. It was about 16 months ago.

I have an appointment on Monday. I’ll keep you posted.

Thanks again
Good luck :)
Hi auntiejessi,

I just came back from the dermatologist. She diagnosed it as Milia. She was confident about that, however I asked her to get it biopsied. I have to wait around 2 weeks to get the result.

Good, I'm glad you asked. Let me know what the results are.
Hi auntiejessi,

I got my results right now and it says the bump is Milia (Milium).
I'm happy to hear it. :) I hope you're feeling better now!
Thank you ;)
