Irritation on head of penis

Recently I've been intimate with a new partner. She told me she had been tested for herpes, but I'm not sure when. We had unprotected sex (regretfully, but briefly) a week or two ago. Since then we've limited it to oral sex. Recently I've noticed a small red spot about one centimeter from my urethra. It isn't raised, but it feels slightly irritated, and sometimes looks better/worse depending on the light. There's only one little spot and it's about a centimeter in diameter, no warts, no discharge, no pain while urinating, etc. It just feels slightly irritated (maybe a bit rough but that could be because I'm constantly worried/looking at it).

I only noticed this spot after masturbating in the shower (maybe a little aggressively), but it's been a few days and it comes and goes.

Sometimes I can barely notice it, and sometimes it's really bright red and looks like it's getting bigger, and it's really starting to worry me constantly. I also think I have anxiety issues so that's not making it any better.

I'm going to a doctor in a week or so (I'm at college, but finals end next week so I can go home), should I be worried that this is an STD, or could it just be irritated skin? I already know I have problems with eczema, but the skin on my penis isn't dry, and I've never had eczema near my penis before.

Any help is appreciated,
Thanks.

CONGRATS ON YOUR SEXUAL ADVENTURE!

You don't have STDs, but I have to incourage you to try to relax a little bit.  Sexual exploration is all about finding you soul and putting it in someone else.  If you don't have a soul I suggest just using you penis.

LOL, I am just messing with you.  If your serious about getting rid of an irritation on your **** try a little baking soda and vinegar....yeah that ought to do the trick and might I suggest a camping trip?

If it's not an STD then what could it be?

If it's just irritation from friction, shouldn't it have cleared up in the past couple days, and not come back?

I mean, I am a hypochondriac, so anything that could possibly be wrong I always assume the worst, but I'm just kind of having a mini freak out.

I've also noticed irritation when walking, like from my underwear, but I think that's in a completely different spot with no irritation markings.

I just want to get rid of it :/

this doesn't sound like it's a std.

if you both haven't had full std testing since your last partners, cover your bases so you don't have to worry so much. otherwise as long as you are having protected sex, it's really low risk for you both. unprotected oral sex isn't 100% either.
