Jumping between calm and freaking out

I'm just gonna jump right into it. I had unprotected vaginal and oral sex 6 days ago with a recent female friend
(Tuesday the 9th of February) and I've been freaking out since 2 days after, I noticed my tongue was yellow. Not heavily coated yellow, more like a light layer of yellow towards the back of the tongue but it doesn't extend all the way on the tongue, nor is it heavily coated or thick.

Still, searching this brought up HIV and needless to say, I lost my **** a bit (probably an understatement honestly). However, in my searching it also brought up that HIV symptoms do not show up for approximately 2 weeks after the initial contact. Also, other STDs/STIs have an approximate time frame of 2 to 5 (sometimes 7) days. Though I know it can be longer in some cases.

Point being, though I've been freaking out over every little pain, tingle, or sensation I feel, I don't think I've had anything resembling a "symptom", that being something that is a pattern, not one off feeling here or there. So I'm essentially in a perpetual state of feeling something or noticing something, having a freak out in my mind, then talking myself back down with logic. It's driving me nuts. I do plan to go get tested, blood and urine but I want to wait until I'm 2 weeks clear from the day of contact as I've read that 2 weeks or more is when you can be tested for pretty much everything, though with HIV I've heard it's also good to do tests after 3 months and 6 months to follow up and be sure if you've tested negative initially.

My friend has mentioned time and again that she is clean, and was tested approximately 6 weeks before we had sex and her results were 100% clean, she did have a more frequent partner but he and her were involved before she was tested and so, as her results say according to her, he's clean and didn't/couldn't pass anything to her, to then have something to pass to me. However, she was not specific about WHAT kind of test(s) she had done. I only say that because some females I know think a pap smear tests for STDs/STIs such as chlamydia, and others. I'm a man (though a young one, 21) but even I know that's false. So, I'm sure you can understand my skepticism since I don't have details regarding her test(s).

Like I said, I'm going to get tested after another week (which makes 2) and I've been and will be monitoring myself closely (probably out of straight up fear and paranoia). However, like I said, I don't seem to have any symptoms. There's no warts, burning, soreness, swelling, pain in any area outside of typical day to day pain (I work in a warehouse that is not insulated and right now Louisiana's weather is going from mid 70s to below freezing every few days so, catching a small cold is not uncommon though, my immune system is very strong and I always dress to stay warm when the temperature drops) and no pain or anything regarding the genitals. The only thing is this yellow tongue which, again, occurred or rather was noticed, 2 days after intercourse. Which, is too soon to call it HIV.

Also, perhaps it's just because I'm watching my patterns more closely now that I'm paranoid but, I seem to think I've been urinating more often than usual. However since I've only just started taking note of every little thing I do out of fear and paranoia, perhaps this is usual and I simply don't notice it? Also, I usually drink 2-4, 16 or 20 ounce bottles of water every day along with 2-3, 8 ounce glasses of milk and occasionally 8 ounces of orange juice in the morning. Again, maybe it's the paranoia noticing the frequency of my bathroom habits. Also, my urine has been as normal as can be. Nothing unusual, no obviously dark urine, or discharge. And no pain during.

I apologize for typing out a literal essay but, like I said, I've been swinging between calm and normal to losing my **** and going crazy. I guess I'm seeking an educated opinion or voice as to what could be happening or whether I'm just fine and simply a paranoid mess. Again, I know testing is the only sure way to know and I will be getting tested in about another week. Any honest responses will help, and I'm grateful if someone manages to actually read all of that!

Thank you,

Joe

Yes you are absolutely being paranoid and there is no reason to suspect an STD. If you have not had testing recently though, why not consider this for your own protection and that of future partners.

HIV does not cause the symptoms you mention nor does it appear for a couple of weeks. Pretty low chance rare for a female to have and pass it through vaginal sex.

agree with Fleetwood20.

I don't expect HIV or major STD.
But to be honest for peace of mind. Please test for Chlamydia/Gonno at 2 weeks and HIV at 6-8 weeks. I presume you are fine!

Ps. yellowish/whitish tong is very very normal. Coffee is making it more yellowish as other drinks and food. If you eat a lot of hard things like harder bread/toast etc would help getting rid of it as tong brushing after brushing your teeth.

Don't stress dude, I had unprotected oral and condom sex with random girl...freak my self out that I caught something..Did test it was negative but I stress my self so much that I now have a burning sensation on head of penis that is stressing me out now...It's never good to stress about this stuff until you do tests...

Thanks for the responses, advice, and understanding guys. I'm going to get tested either tomorrow or the day after. It's been almost 3 weeks and honestly I haven't encountered any symptoms at all. Aside from a tingle or pain in my penis but I noticed these only happen when I'm at work where my mind has time to wander, never at home or when I'm out and about. Plus since this occurs with zero frequency and hasn't happened in about 4 or so days, I think I can chalk it up to the psychological aspect of stressing myself out over it.

Update: Test results came back all negative. Though I swear I'm still feeling things inside my penis but again, it occurs with zero regularity. Most often occurs at work. No where else for some reason. I'm going to get tested again after a few more weeks to a month just to make sure there's nothing there, since I tested a little over 3 weeks after the initial sexual contact. But, I'm feeling alot better after the all negative results.

Yes you should. You may well have 'something' but I'd suggest it isn't a serious STD.
