Massive swollen gland on neck!!! Unprotected sex

Hi,

Please help my concerns. I have had 3 sexual partners in the last 4 weeks. Had unprotected oral sex with CSW, protected sex with 2 girls (none of which csw) and unprotected sex 3 times with girl again not a CSW. Last encounter was 4 days ago and that was unprotected sex. Yesterday and today my gland on my neck is MASSIVE. Sore, swollen and little painful. I do not have other symptoms apart from swollen gland and struggling to sleep at night as too hot. Does anyone know if it could be sign of STD/HIV etc? Im guessing he only risk I was at was with the unprotected sex with girl? I have never seen anything so swollen before its freaking me out :(

The clinic had said no need to test for any blood related diseases if last girl I know had been checked as no risk of hiv or syphilis from unprotected oral from csw. Is this correct? I've spoken to this girl again and she is totally fine having only slept with me in 8 months and been checked months ago. She us z friend do I trust her

Hi grace.

Thank you for your advice. Have spoken to this girl and she says she is clean having been checked. I do know who she is so hopefully telling the truth. My concerns are the swollen parotid gland. I gave been researching and turns out thus us a common gland that can swell in hiv infection! It's been ages now and the gland won't go down. People keep asking if I'm ok :-(.What are the chances of thus being hiv or syphilis based on exposure? Unprotected oral from csw. I have tried getting in touch but she won't reply. I'm worried now. Please respond with best thing to do

Yes six days is enough for accurate gonorrhea and chlamydia testing. What did the doc think?

as was said, neck glands being swollen isn't typically std related. many infections do cause this, most of the common ones are transmitted through kissing as well as just being within 3 feet of someone and they aren't std related at all. following up on this properly since it's been a few days is the best course of action.

the only std testing that was accurate 6 days post encounter was gonorrhea, chlamydia, trich and ngu.  you need to wait 6 weeks for syphilis testing and 3 months for herpes, hiv and hepatitis testing.

also as was already said, start protecting yourself better and only have protected sexual contact. this includes oral sex too. it's not worth the risk of having unprotected sexual contact at all!!!

Thanks Tony. Yeah im guessing if anything it would be from unprotected sex as oral sex from anyone including CSW is considered very low risk and in some cases not worth testing (so these forums say).

I will talk to this girl to make sure all if ok and get tested. Thanks again, appreciate it

Very much doubt this is STD related but it's best to see what the doc thinks. If it was STD related it wouldnt be from the CSW it would be from the unprotected sex. Try not to worry too much easier said than done I know.

No other symptoms at all. Tired, neck abnormally swollen! I just worry i could have caught something from CSW. Even though it was protected she was very very rough, biting the condom etc I need to not do this ever again

Don't get me wrong swollen glands is a sign that the body is fighting an infection but in relation to an STD more than likely you'd notice symptoms in the genital region first before the glands in the neck would swell. Have you got any discharge from the penis? (more noticeable first thing in the morning) or pain upon urination?

I'm no doctor but this unlikely to be STD related so soon after exposure and without any other symptoms. Don't worry about this being anything to do with HIV as I'm sure this isn't a symptom. I'm sure of one thing though, you need to see your doctor regarding your swollen gland.
