vaginal cuts?

i was wondering if anyone can provide some insight. i am in my mid 20s and for years ive been getting this painful vaginal symptoms. i would go to clinic after clinic, ive had blood tests done, std screens, etc. i have burning and what looks/ feels like vaginal tears to me. my skin gets a little red, but i have never had any blisters or anything that looks like pimples, or anything obvious. this had been going on for more than 6 years. 3 years ago was the last time i had a blood test for herpes which i just knew i had, but it cam back negative.ive never had anything like crusting, or anything that was clearly herpes. recently after having sex this started again. sex is not always painful, but every no and then it seems to trigger these symptoms. it feels like paper cuts near the rectal area, perinium?, and sometimes it bothers me internally also, its not quite an itch or a burn, kind of just a constant discomfort with and itch way inside every now and then. WHAT THE HECK IS WRONG! i was treated for bv and it seems like the symptoms got worse. what should i do?

PLEASE CHECK YOUR SOAP AND SHAMPOO! DO YOU WASH YOUR HAIR IN THE SHOWER? WOMEN ARE STARTING TO GET SENSITIVE TO A VARIETY OF POPULAR PRODUCTS. ONCE I STOPPED WASHING MY HAIR IN THE SHOWER. THIS ISSUE STOPPED. GIVE IT A TRY. THE SOAP OR SHAMPOO CAN DRIP INTO THE GENITAL AREA. ALSO GET SOME PH STRIPS OR TESTERS AND TEST THE PH OF THE SOAP YOU USE. I WENT FOR TEST AFTER TEST AT A FEW DOCTORS AND THEY FOUND NOTHING FOR THE CUTS. DOCTORS HAD NO CLUE.

Many things can cause our sensitive genital skin to tear. Infection and allergies are 2 common causes.  Another is dry genital skin.  Even though dry genital skin is more of an issue in post menopausal women it can also happen to otherwise healthy women too - especially if they are on the pill.

At this point I"d stop thinking herpes and std's and start thinking skin conditions.  Follow up on this with your gyn and also a dermatologist. They can work together to try to figure out if you are allergic to something  or if you have thin skin that tears easily.  Don't hesitate to ask about using topical estrogen creams to help restore the skin to it's best resilance so that you aren't tearing as easily. Also lube, lube and more lube with sex. It's well worth investing in a decent lube - try a couple different ones to see which one you like best.

If you had bv and you were treated with vaginal medication for it - it could be that you really do have very sensitive skin and/or allergies.  Even though they put the medication in a base that most folks aren't allergic to - some folks are.
