NGU/NSU Undiagnosed, Unmedicated for 2 Months Plus/11 weeks (Uretheral Discharge)

Hello there; I'm coming from a country where STI seems to be seen as taboo and unusual. male in the twenties, obese. Honestly I've never in my life engage in any kind of sexual activities beside frequent self masturbation. It started in March, I began to self masturbate after a few weeks of dormancy (in activeness). Then just after that, I began to feel unease sensation on my tummy near to my groin (some sort of itchiness). I began to wash that part of my area with scented liquid soap. Then a day after that, I begin to feel watery, a bit of clear/transparent discharge at the tip of my penis. I began to panic, then I masturbated and what shock me the most; a transparent/clear mucoid like discharge secreted more when I ejaculated. I have not experience this before throughout my previous fapping sessions before. After that encounter, I began to self medicate, hoping for this symptom to go on its own by drinking cranberry juice and so on. Unfortunately it won't go away, the discharge tend to be present after urination, defecation and also when I'm aroused but no ejaculation.

I went to my Doctor after 4 weeks of self medication, they went to check all usual STI/STDs via taking the urethral discharge sample using the swab. I've been given amoxicillin while waiting for the result, fortunately the result was negative for STI/STDs. By the time of getting the result (NEGATIVE for Chlamydia, Gono), I've started getting pain on my mother thumb joints. I've raised my concern pertaining possible NGU to my Doctor. I reiterated that I've never engage in any risky sexual engagement. My Doctor still stunned with my somehow baseless concern. **I'm deeply terrified about possible NGU infection due to what I've read on most of the leading sites that over masturbation could somehow be non sexual cause of acquiring NGU. Though I've not told my Dr, about this. Due to that, my Dr refer me for further investigation which is going for ultrasound for my testes and so on which will be at the end of May.

Now, my situation have worsen indeed, I have been getting on and off joint pain over my body. I've told this situation to multiple Doctors. The worst is on my left foot, it started on the ankle. It feels like swollen kind of pain but the swelling is not red swollen kind of swelling. I have told my concern to my Dr, they just ignore it and ask me to wait for the ultrasound. They just gave me vit B complex and some rubs. Throughout the weeks while waiting for the ultrasound, I've been getting some sort of flare up (on and off) joint pain especially on my left foot. I also felt some sort of warmness and joint pain on and off throughout my body. Within one or two weeks, I'll be not be able to walk properly due to stiffness and pain on my left foot. To my avail, though I told my condition to my Dr, they don't even bother to properly treat or diagnose what happen to me. I still having this pain right now.

Beside the joint pain, I'm also been having bacterial conjunctivitis (eye) for nearly 4 weeks now. I've started getting this eye condition when I carelessly check (milking) my uretheral for discharge during shower. Then I accidentally rub my eyes with the hand that was in contact with the discharge, I began to feel the gritty sensation on my left eyes instantly after that, overnight then a few days after that I went to the hospital and told my Dr about this followed by my current urethral discharge. My Dr told me that the sort of conjunctivitis that I fear off usually not physically be what I'm having right now. She reiterated that it most probably be due to viral conjunctivitis. She gave usual eye drop for 5 days usage. Then after a week, I still having the gritty sensation on both of my eyes followed by eye wax. I went to my Dr (urethral encounter) and to my avail, he ask me to calm down and most probably the eye condition is due to viral conjunctivitis and if this condition persist I will be referred to an eye specialist clinic. I was given an eye drop and eye ointment for another 5 days. Then after a week, the condition still persist especially with the gritty sensation, eye wax and now watery on both eyes and mild redness(near to nil). I was referred to the eye specialist, told the same story about the genital to eye contact and the urethral discharge. She asked me to be calm, though I requested for eye swab to be taken. She asked me to wait for two weeks and mentioned that it's a bacterial conjunctivitis and usually takes a long time for the symptom to subside. She gave me an eye drop and eye liquid ointment for a week usage, and another week will be waiting for the symptom to subside. She patiently asked me not to go to clinic before the 2 weeks time frame ends. Now its been the second day within the two weeks timeframe. I'm still having on off gritty and watery sensation but hopeful that the symptoms subside within the week. I'm terrified of getting STIs or NGU like conjunctivitis.

What disappoints me the most is the lagg of diagnosing my condition in my point of view somehow projects of having complication of NGu/NSU. I've told my Dr about my fear of getting reactive arthritis due lack of treatment of possible NGU (non sexual triggered NGU). I've also requested for another urine analysis and asked whether during my previous urethral swab in end of March also include any inflamation within the urethra followed by presence of White Blood Cell. The Dr, don't even know about it but told me that the swab covers everything of the usual STIs. But she reiterate whether I have engage in promiscuous sexual activity before this. It seems that my healthcare provider tend to apply the blame game approach rather than trying to seek the proper diagnosis and treatment for my situation.

Its been ELEVEN weeks, I've still having the clear/transparent discharge, I realised that I'll have it more often after urination, defecation and ejaculation. It's sometime mucoid like and watery like discharge, post urination & defecation, the discharge will be on the penis tip. No pain during urination.

I hope someone could tell me what's going on with me, should I be worried about what's been happening to me? Is this kind of NGU (Non Sexual Cause) really happens due to probable 'Over Masturbation' scenario or 'Soap Encounter'? Could anyone enlighten me the usual NGU encounter and symptoms? Are there anyone out there encounter NGU from any 'Non Sexual Cause/Trigger'? What should I do from here. Really appreciate your thoughts, opinions pertaining my situation.

Vader, you sent me a message but I am not an expert here.

I guess you could have ngu from non-sexual activities including your masturbation or the cleansing.

I am in over my head here and wish you well.

Just came back from reviewing my ultrasound result from my physician, according to the result: they have found 5mm ston. I'm not quite sure whether it is a kidney stone or what. My physician is referring to a urologist. No medication been given, pertaining to my joint swelling, conjunctivitis (no redness) (no discharge present during meet up), clear penile discharge. I requested for eye specialist referal, ignored due to absence of redness and so on, Though, I really feel my eye still having gritty, watery, mucoid discharge occasionally especially after sleep especially morning. My physician asked me to wait for a while so the claim that I've been making will manifest physically. My physician claim that the swelling on my joint is probably due to Gout. But I still doubt it, he refer me for blood work at the end of August (definitely takes a while). I really don't know what to do from here. I still believe that I'm having self inflicted NGU due to masturbation (due to the absence of oral and sex). **based on my reading on the net.

Could anyone elaborate on this matter? Is there any significant fact that could alter my claim of having NGU due to the present of stone from my ultrasound review? Could the stone leads to what I'm having right now which is 'Clear Penile' discharge followed by plausible complication of 'Reactive arthritis' (joint swelling (stiffness on and off) without redness) followed by bacterial eye infection mucoid discharge no redness. (it seems like chlamydia or NGU, but my physician still ignore about my claim) I requested for another STI : urethral swab taken but ignored due to the absence of sexual activities which I denied (I'm being honest). My last test was on my 4th week of having the clear discharge. Now its been months....

Really appreciate if anyone had any ideas of what I'm facing right now.

Just had my ultrasound just now specifically on my pelvic area and testes. Unfortunately, based on the physician conducting the ultrasound: there's nothing abnormal that lead to the discharge. He asked whether I had any pain while urination, frequency and occasion when having the discharge followed by my sexual past. I stick with my story which is, I have not done any kind of promiscuous activities beside self masturbation. He reiterate that in my case, it definitely astound him that I was not given any long term antibiotics for all these weeks while waiting for the ultrasound diagnostic. He asked me to get in contact with my physician for further investigation and treatment. I really don't know what going to happen to me. It seems that my outcome will be very bleak for me especially due to inefficiency of how my health provider manage this kind of health problem which leads to complications. I'm currently suffering swollen joint (Left Foot-Ankle), Joint Pain, Bacterial Conjunctivitis (without redness but having Gooey-mucoid like discharge in the morning), Sticky Eye. What should I do from here? It seems like the only option is to fabricate my story that I do engage in sex in order to have proper treatment.

I'm deeply sorry JessyJames2010...Yes I've been given amoxicillin only...but still having the discharge till today.. I've been to my other physician, he approves that there's some kind of infection going on within me due to plausible reactive arthritis symptoms...but he denied its due to NGU/NSU... but UTI might probably be the culprit...But still no medication in treating the discharge is being given. He asked me to just wait for confirmation in diagnosis after the ultrasound next week. So in this case, I've just need to wait and endure the pain that I have been on for months...My conjunctivitis also still on despite new medications been given for near to 5 weeks in total..I do have transparent discharge present in the morning after sleep, I have told my eye specialist..I requested for eye swab..but still he ignored my request due to discharge present at the time I met him...I ask me not to wash or remove the discharge when present, and to go straight to the hospital...I'm deeply astound to this request...Is this the SOP for taking the discharge?

I have recieve none of the antibiotics. I'll be going to my physician soon for my eyes again, it seems my eye begin to have clear mucoid like discharge and mild sticky sensation. I was planning to wait it until I went for my ultrasound which is a week from today, but after observing on my eyes closely just now. I changed my minds... I hope my physician do make right diagnosis soon so, it will end my misery too with hope of getting the right treatment and medication. I know its seems to astound me, how do this thing happen without any sexual triggers? The only risk that I've did was self masturbation. That was the complexity of the whole situation is, no physical sex/oral, urine and urethral swab test on the 4the week after having the clear discharge with negative result STI = having all physical symptoms of NGU/Chlamydia = multiple on and off joint pain (stiffness, swelling) + scaly hand palm (signs of reactive arthritis) + bacterial eye conjucntivitis for four weeks till today. I wish that they are other explanations for all the physical symptoms..

Hi

Wow, ELEVEN weeks with the sign of clear/transparent discharge, (hang in there, this will go away soon).  Given the fact that you were on antibiotics, this is normal, because whatever infection you had in there is coming out.  Seems like you were diagnosed with NGU and since you’ve never had any sexual exposure it appears that you did have a “non sexual cause/trigger”
You asked what you should do from here?  Just wait it out.  Get your mind off it.  Read.  Pray. Mediate.   Your going to be okay as far as STD are concerned (you don’t have any).   Whatever is happening to your joints is completely unrelated to NGU.

Best.

Hello Vance; just asking.. I just realized that I got the tendency of having unintentional clear penile discharge when arouse (just been experiencing this while watching porn) but not doing any physical masturbation. Does this shows a good sign that my condition is not related to any STIs? the dicharge remains clear and mucoid like..I was like having random stinging pain at the penis tip than I discovered I've just having clear discharge..is this precum?

Thank you very much Vance. I hope that I could get good news for the upcoming ultrasound within a week plus. I hope everything is just fine. I know my situation is indeed complicated in nature due to non sexual trigger.

Never heard of this before. NGU is caused by bacteria, usually from oral sex. I wish I could be of help but I can't because I don't believe this is NGU.
