Oral Sex

My boyfriend recently broke up with me for a chance to see someone else.  He came back and wanted to get back together in less than a week.  However, he said that one night he messed around with this other person.  He said that she gave him a "blow job" and that he used his hands a little on her but he didn't go down on her with his mouth.  They did not have sex.  I was wondering if there was anyway he could have gotten an STD from this encounter.

I didn't say oral sex was no risk, I said it was low risk.  You could have gotten an infection caused by normal bacteria in the mouth (causing NGU).  I'm not sure how this happened since you had a condom on - it should have covered your urethra.

Protected oral sex is very, very low risk.

oral sex is risk.... I don't care what anyone says low risk... I got a Bacteria infection from a blow job.. I had a condom on ????

I have a 99 % feeling that I have HIV.

Know, explain to me how I got a bacterial infection.

Look , people will say odds are 1 in 10000 etc...But who knows if your the odd ??

My point is that you never know when you will get it and that your that odd.

I used a condom, still got STD.

Have him tested.

Oral sex is low risk for STDs.  However, there is a small risk for gonorrhea, syphilis, and HSV-1 (if she didn't have a visible cold sore there's nothing to worry about).  Most likely, your boyfriend is ok, but testing isn't a bad idea - it will ease your mind.
Good luck,
Em
