Oral gonorrhoea NAAT test indeterminate

Hello there. I have recently gotten my STI test results back and everything was negative (chlamydia, HIV, hepatitis, etc), but the oral swab was returned with indeterminate results for gonorrhoea using NAAT test.

I got retested today and I was also given antibiotics that I can take should the retesting results come in positive, but I will have to live with myself for another week while waiting for the results, so I wanted to get a second opinion on my situation from this forum.

Some background on my situation:

-I am a gay 22 year old male
-Prior to the exam, I haven't had sex or even any body contact in about a month and a half
-During that month and a half period I didn't have any symptoms characteristic of oral gonorrhoea: no discomfort in the throat, no problems swallowing
-Between my previous exam (all negative) and this latest I have given mouth-to-penis oral once and mouth to anus oral sex around 4 or 5 times. Every person I have had sex with was asked about their last examination and everyone assured me that they were fine; there were also no immediate signs of gonorrhoea infection (puss leaking out, rashes, etc)

Basically, my question is what could result in an indeterminate NAAT result. As far as my understanding goes, these tests are extraordinarily accurate and indeterminate results are extremely rare. The nurse who took another oral swab today told me that I'm the first person in her practice who has received an indeterminate NAAT test result too, so this situation is not at all within ordinary. Do you think NAAT test failed due to some chemical error with the test or because there was something wrong with the specimen? Has anyone heard of indeterminate oral gonorrhoea result getting retested to be found negative/positive? Should I probably just take the antibiotics to get it over with or is it better to wait until the results come back? thanks in advance

Well you have a test result that is not positive, so I doubt this has anything to do with gonorrhea.

So I have some updates

I was retested and both NAAT and culture tests came back indeterminate. The nurse really had no idea what to say because she's never seen something like that happen before, but she suggested I take the meds and see another doctor for a general culture test to see if there's other infection that could be causing the previous tests to do this thing

Has anyone heard of throat infections triggering gonorrhoea tests before? I'm currently freaking out about what this thing could possibly be

I have never heard of it happening myself, so can only guess that something might have went wrong with the test.
I say wait until you get the results, no reason to treat something if you don't have it.
