Painful testicles after being treated with Chlamydia

I was diagnosed with chlamydia two weeks ago today. That same day my doctor proscribed me Sandoz- azithromycin 250 mg (4 tablets) which I took all at the same time that same day with food. I am scheduled for a re-test three weeks from that day. However, every morning I wake up (with an erection) and I urinate and it still hurts but not during the rest of the day. But today at around lunch time the lower right side of my body began to hurt and by this evening my testicles began to hurt also.  Not severely, but they hurt enough to notice. I am going to phone the doctor tomorrow and see what he says. Could the medicine have not worked the first time? Was I re infected (did not have intercourse) from myself? Does this mean I am infertile? Could it be another infection that spread to my testicles? Do I have another STD or STI?  Right now I am very scared for my health. Thanks

better to discuss with your doctor. have yourself tested for other bacterial STDs as well like Gonorrhea and NGU too. Btw, it could be anxiety.
