Possibility of oral STD

Over a year ago I engaged in oral sex without protection. I do not seem to have any symptoms other than a sore throat that has recently came and gone which I have assumed is due to post nasal drip. I am curious as if it is possible for me to just now be feeling symptoms of any oral stds and if I should be tested. I was also given antibiotics for the sore throat but it is back again 2 months later.

What are the risks if you were the one giving?
Giving oral sex to someone with a penis puts you at risk for oral gonorrhea and syphilis. Syphilis isn't that common, and your partner would have had to have a sore that your mouth came into contact with to transmit it. You would get a sore in your mouth anywhere from 10-90 days, with 21 days being the average. You can test for this at 6 weeks.

Oral gonorrhea doesn't usually have symptoms, but if you got them, it would be a sore, red throat, maybe a fever, maybe swollen glands. If you get symptoms, they usually appear within 7-21 days. You can get a throat swab for this at about 5 days.

There is a risk here, but oral sex is lower risk than intercourse.

Giving oral sex to someone with a vagina is is far lower risk than a penis, but the same risks apply.

A sore throat with phlegm and post-nasal drip doesn't sound like oral gonorrhea. It sounds like allergies or perhaps a sinus infection. If it lingers, definitely check with your doctor. If you need to put your mind at ease, ask your doctor for an oral gonorrhea test. It's a simple throat culture, but they have to order the test for gonorrhea to be done on it. I'd be really surprised if it's that, though.

You can get oral chlamydia, but it's very rare, especially if you performed oral on a vagina.
Thank you !
