Recurring Yeast infections

My fiance and I have been together for nearly two years and sexually active for the past year. Initially we used no protection and she had no issues whatsoever. I used the pull-out method. Not wanting to have any more children she underwent a tubal ligation about eight months ago. Since then she has had recurring vaginal issues including numerous severe yeast infections, UTI's, and bacterial vaginosis. She has been on anti-biotics so frequently it's pathetic.

Although she asked her Dr. if i should be treated for fear of passing the infections back she said the Dr. said it was not necessary. She was tested negative of any SDT's and I have no history or symptoms either.

Any ideas what could be the source of the yeast infections? I know one of them was a result of her forgetting her tampon inside her.

Thank you

it can be  but if she's getting properly tested for vaginitis  odds are it isn't. covering all your bases is always a good idea!

I've been wondering if i was the ejaculation.  If so, is there something that could be done?  I'll tell her about the tampons.

would herpes be causing the problem?

vaginitis is pretty common in females. you can try something as simple as protected sex only for a few months to see if your ejaculate is altering her vaginal ph enough to allow overgrowth of yeast and bacteria. sometimes it helps, sometimes it doesn't.

have you both been tested for herpes? it's typically not a part of routine std testing.

if she is getting vaginitis a lot, she shouldn't be using tampons.
