Risk of gonorrhoea from receiving a rim job?

Hi

I received a rim job (analingus) for no more than a couple of minutes and wanted to know about the ‘real world’ risk of contracting gonorrhoea from that exposure. I’m aware of the risks of bacterial infections and herpes but it’s not clear to me whether there is zero, small or significant risk if we assume that the giver had a gonorrhoeal throat infection. Some responses on this site seem to suggest it’s a risk and other responses say it’s super low to zero risk. The CDC website doesn’t list rimming the anus as a risk for transmission (unlike say syphilis) and seems to make a distinction between the anus and the rectum.

I’m really confused whether transmission does happen or whether this is just a technical/hypothetical risk.

Thanks

There is no real risk for gonorrhea.
It is widely believed that oral gonnorhea is not transmitted via french kissing or anilingus. That is also the opinion of Dr. Hansfield, a respected medical expert of the STI field.
Some newer studies suggest that theoretically oral gonorrhea might be transmitted via saliva, but that is still highly debatable and there are no definitive studies to prove it.
Your risk is theoretical, no need to worry or get tested.
