STD testing - urgent help

Hey everyone,

I've recently been struck by some form of tonsillitis, but tested negative for mono and strep (with the 20 minute, quick strep test). The doctor took a swab of my throat to do a culture test on whether there's bacteria there and what that bacteria is. There's a possibility that I have an STI due to unprotected oral sex, and I'm completely worried about my mom finding out through this throat culture exam. So, a couple of questions. If I do have an STI, will it be in my lab results, will the lab even check for it, and will they tell my doctor? I need an answer to this in the next couple of hours, please.
