STD'S?

I'VE CHEATED ON MY WIFE SEVERAL TIMES IN THE PAST. NOW MY QUESTION IS THIS. I KEEP DEVELOPING A PURPLE RASH ON THE GLANS HEAD OF THE PENIS AND A DEEP DARK RED SWELLING WHELP AROUND THE HEAD WHERE I AM CIRCUMCISED AND THE SKIN REMAINS. THIS SOMETIMES APPEARS A DAY OR TWO AFTER I'VE MASTURBATED. I HAVEN'T EVER BEEN TESTED FOR STD'S. A DOCTOR OBSERVED THE SWELLING ONCE AND SAID I HAD GENITAL HERPES. OTHER UROLOGISTS THAT I'VE DESCRIBED THIS TO HAVE SAID IT WAS ALSO GENITAL HERPES. CAN IT BE TESTED NOW FOR IT WITHOUT AN OUTBREAK OR DO I NEED TO WAIT FOR THE NEXT TIME IT BREAKS OUT? I'VE HAD IT HAPPEN ALOT OF TIMES WITHOUT MASTURBATION BUT 2 OR 3 TIMES WITH MASTURBATION. FOR THIS REASON I DON'T THINK THAT MASTURBATION REALLY HAS ANYTHING TO DO WITH IT.

Since you don't use condoms at all, I would suggest a screening for all bacterial STD's:
Syphilis, Gonorrhea, Chlamydia, Trichomoniasis, UreaPlasma and MycoPlasma.

This rash of yours does seem to have some characteristics of herpes virus however... but if you want to be certain,  I do suggest a full STD screening to see if this might be related.

Hi, rashes could be herpes but having outbreaks on the head is not common at all. They would be most often on the shaft or pubic mound area. Start off by having a blood test type specific for hsv 1 and 2. If 2 comes back positive they rash may in fact be herpes , it its negative you can rule it out.
Do you always use condoms during sex?
